Hi I’m Tescia Deák. I am an award-winning creative director at Grey West in Venice, CA. I’m an interdisciplinary thinker who absolutely loves the challenge of a big idea especially one big enough to make a positive impact.
Over my career I have worked on a wide portfolio of clients including: YouTube, Fitbit, Kraft/Heinz, Nokia, FX, ABinBEV, Downy, Venus Gillette, Coola, Pantene, Olay, Colgate, Covergirl, Clairol, Hasbro, Fidelity, and Columbia Records, and my work has been recognized by Cannes Lions, D&AD, One Show and Clios.
In my spare time I do projects dear to my heart that support equality regardless of sex, age, race or gender. I have participated in company lead initiatives with at Grey for mothers returning to work, I was a mentor and a judge at the 2019 One Club Creative Boot Camp in LA, and most recently I have created Free The Vee a micro non-profit where I create funny yet factual t-shirts and merchandise while providing information on many ways you can get involved with everything regarding women’s rights.
In NYC I partnered with The Novogratz as a design consultant to develop a line of upscale home goods that launched at CB2 and Macy’s. I joined GREY in 2014 where I worked on launching the first ever Coverboy. My background of editorial, film and design informs my current work as a storyteller in advertising.
I worked as a makeup artist while completing my undergrad in art at SDSU. Upon moving to New York I began my career in editorial design at ZINK Magazine, while simultaneously continuing my education in advertising at the School of Visual Arts in NYC.
I enjoy the California coast, cooking, songwriting and running half marathons and boxing.
